Michigan Combat League got off to a "striking" good start with their very first event. The venue was the Diamond Park Center in Lincoln Park -- a spacious ballroom perfectly suited to such an event. Promoter/pro fighter/referee Jake Short did a great job of coordinating the show, handing over the referee duties to fellow Michigan pro fighter/trainer (and referee obviously) Daron Cruickshank, assisted for part of the night by FightMichigan's very own T.J. Corwin. Delivering the stats and various other verbal goods was Michigan's #1 announcer, Mr. Throwdown himself, Pete Trevino Jr., joined by the always excitin', crowd pumpin' and hypin' Joey Ruckus, with Eternal Entertainment Group's DJ Trevy Trev rockin' the 1′s & 2′s. The judges were comprised of an all-star lineup as well, with Michigan pro fighter and King of the Cage middleweight champ Brandon Hunt, Michigan pro fighter Eric Moon, and easily one of the best ammy 205er's in the state, Lee "The Juggernaut" Trombley. There were a lot of Michigan's familiar and popular up-and-comers on the card, making for a fun and entertaining evening. With that in mind, keep your eyes peeled for MCL's next installment coming on April 22nd to a venue near you. And keep FightMichigan bookmarked on your computer
