"Dear Mama" is the first single by 2Pac from his third solo album, Me Against the World (1995). It is dedicated to his mother, Afeni Shakur. The melody samples "Sadie" by The Spinners and "In All My Wildest Dreams" by Joe Sample. It is considered by fans, critics and purists as one of the greatest hip hop songs of all-time, and one of 2pac's best songs, ranking #4 on About.com's Top 100 Rap Songs.[1] "Dear Mama" was not initially released as a single in the UK until 1999, where it was released as the second single from 2Pac's Greatest Hits album.

aww this just shows how pac as hard as he loved to portray himself in a tough way he had a soft side too love how he messes up but shows he was only human at the end of the day very sweet tribute to women in general n the hard job they pull off everyday as mothers
