if it's not in 4wd it's not engaged, therefore no load. in 2wd your front diff don't need driven (hence 2wd) everything up there is just rolled by the road!?!?! so what are you talking about

K, #1 when you drag race a cummins, you never ever use 1 or 2 gear. it's pointless especially when you can start a stock cummins off in 3rd gear just on the road. #2 Yes it does go through the t-case... BUT it does not pull on that chain inside making the front driveshaft spin the front axle. Technically not causing really hardly any driveline friction. and you wouldn't hurt the t-case in 2wd cause it doesn't take the same load as it does in 4wd
