@yodheytheway This is a segment of the Selichot Prayers, led by the chazan, and repeated/responded to by congregants. It occurs during our time of Repentance, a period of forty days - for the month of Elul and the first ten days of Tishri, which ends on Yom Kippur.

We are in this time of Repentance right now.
