3-53T like alot of the guys are using. Couple of the drag racers use the 6-53T with alum block.
Ya, not quite the power of the Cummins, but the cool factor increases slightly.

yea ur right I don't ever look at it . The thing is darn ugly.. Would like to replace it soon maybe with a Aurora 3000 . Yes ve Pump .
But right now I a blow bye problem in the cooling system . I'm hoping it's just a head gasket or at the worst a crank't head . Cummins sent me a complete head gasket kit.

looks like a ve pump motor..and because of bein non intercooled so it would of been a h1c turbo...hx35 was on 94-98 12 valve engines only and some 24 valves...not bustin your stone i just wanted you to know.

If you were gonna switch from the Getrag I'd put a NV4500 in there... they are stronger than the NV5600 6spd, and they are much easier to find parts for than the NV5600, not to mention cheaper.

yea my Dad put a cummins 5.9l in his 72 chevy years ago . He was able to adapt the stock 4 speed 465 muncie with is bullet proof
box . But not having overdrive and 4.10 gear didn't help . he swicth to nv4500 3rd gear blow the sycro out . The rear tail staft thing is what scares me .
