Moonlight Matters

Moonlight Matters is what happens when the sun goes down, The mood is right, and creativity is set loose... Sebastiaan Vandevoorde already has some mileage on the counter of his vintage synth stacked studio. After 1.5 years of being the Composer/Producer of another Belgium based act called Villa where he remixed Moby, Gorillaz, Keane, Ali Love and Findlay Brown; sculpted exquisite reworks of Tina Turner, Agneta Falstag and Anita Meyer; scored a summerhit with Beats of Love, and played the best venues and Festivals from Fabric/Social Club/Razzmatazz to Bestival/Oxygen/Pukkelpop the time has come to strike out on his own with a solo project called Moonlight Matters.

Seba's style is hard to pinpoint but certainly has no lack of personality, his versatility is his strongest point and he's always able to adjust to the right mood for any kind of smart-witted melodic dance music with a great wow factor. His music won't just set your feet on fire and tear up a crowd, it will also make your mind tickle in a surprisingly emotional fashion. Starting off with remixes for The Drums/Digitalism/Hercules And The Love Affair/Ellie Goulding/Clare Maguire/Pacific!/Silver Columns and many more pending this new project promises to grow out to a long term eargasm. You can expect well thought out compositions and surgically inserted powerbeats on a bed of timeless sounds and exciting arrangements. Coming from the same little environment as Soulwax, Aeroplane and The Glimmers, Moonlight Matters is definately here to stay...

Pacific!

Pacific! is the sun-kissed, blissed-out baby of Bjorn Synneby and Daniel Hogberg -- two childhood friends from the seaside city of Gothenburg, Sweden, whose natural Scandinavian feel for the idyll is evident in a musical aesthetic that is as charming and as it is uninhibited.

Since the early days of the last decade, Synneby and Hogberg have been sewing a patchwork of manifold influences to imbue their delicately crafted pop-not-pop songs with a distinct joie de vivre that seems to hark back and look forward simultaneously. West-Coast, Baroque, Daft Punk, Beach Boys -- you could mention any one of these in the same breath, yet Pacific!'s sound remains unmistakably their own: love songs for the new century, dance music for outside the club, nonchalant romance for the carefree generation. The band's debut album Reveries surfaced in 2008 on Swedish label, Dolores Records, to wide critical acclaim and offered an increasingly musically-aware public a breeze of harmonic and melodic fresh air.

Recently picked up by Alan Braxe's renowned Vulture label, Pacific!'s retro-futurist identity has met its match. Their sophomore LP, Narcissus draws on conceptual inspiration from the classic Greek myth in its story of unrequited love, unspoken truth and self-effacing emotion, yet all the while retaining the debonair signature sound that has already earned so many followers.

The live performance of Pacific! Can take you down two different and distinct roads bound together by the same uncompromised energy, wistful ambience and sonic pleasure. Conceived as a live performance to accompany a modern ballet, Narcissus is a testament to Synneby and Hogberg's creative nous. The performance accompanying the ballet troupe of Olof Persson, is a sight to behold and reveals the deepest nuances of this intricate album. Stepping into a heavier atmosphere the duo spring to life and evoke their own theatrical side to translate Narcissus into a fully expanded rock and roll performance, exploring the evolution of this mythical concept, alongside a live drummer and elaborate stage show.
