Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! and Glasgow Defence Campaign supporters hold a "No to the Cuts! No to Political Policing!" stall outside Buchanan galleries on Sauchiehall St. First set of Strathclyde police officers approach stall at 3.30pm (badge numbers A678 and A297) under the pretext that the loudspeaker is 'too loud' which amounts to 'breach of the peace'. Supporters effectively defend their rights and draw in a crowd of over 50 members of the public to highlight political policing. Officers attempt to pull a 15 year old supporter away from other activists but fail and retreat.

Second set of officers (two male) approach stall with vehicle at 4.23pm. Badge numbers A192 and A929. They fail to gain details of supporters and retreat. The same officers after circling the stall by foot and walking round the block approach the stall at 4.45pm again and for a second time fail to intimidate and unlawfully take the details of supporters. The police back off and the supporters prove the need and effectiveness of standing up for our rights against political policing.
