  • Hey, what type of software are you using? i really whant to animate but i cant find any good software. Any particular suggestions?

  • @simplelee92 Please read the article I wrote (link in movie info, I can't post links here)

  • I was wondering, as you're an animation fellow, how do you work exactly?

I am studying animation directing, so I lack the actual animation classes and have to learn by myself.

Do you first do the (of course keyframes) animation with overall shape and then add details like hair and clothes movement later on, or do you just do it at the same time? Or on new layers of tracing paper?

I admire your skills and the fact that you also work "at home".

  • @CrudityDevArt Since I'm the one doing everything I can skip steps. my keys are usually almost final (I have a very clean line). I need all the detail to see that the animation works. but that's just me. sometimes I work with thumbnails first and then create the keyframes. I think each animator create his own way of work. in the movie info there's a link to a huge article I wrote. it will answer a lot of your questions. also check my portfolio, I have keyframes there, it might help. good luck.

  • superb...work

  • @simplelee92 I'd say Toon Boom Animate or TVPaint.

  • Hey there, some lovely work in your reel. I don't know how you feel about animator to animator crit but I'd like to suggest a couple of things if I'm not being too presumptuous. You're obviously very skilled at FX animation and inbetweening but have you considered loosening up your keys a little a-la Glenn Keane? I know its fun to do the smooth and silky, but it pays to play with thumbs and roughs to get the timings good and punchy before diving in to filling the gaps

Keep up the good work! :D

  • 0:28 0:34 you animate hair really well. I`ll keep drawing and hope i get this good someday.

  • MAKE MORE!!! :D

  • I can see alot of pochahntas and brother bear in the way you animate and draw people.

  • I hope I can learn from someone as talented as you. I look to you as the one to keep the ancient ways of hand-drawn animation alive.

  • great work excellent and superb..........
