You could run Infernal plunges for red ramp. Play it on a free memnite for three mana. That'll get your inferno titan or Steel Hellkite out turn 4 and 3, respectively. However, that isn't much against control, but it is good against mane leaks. You can infernal plunge a creature in order to stop the mana leak if the countered spell is worth keeping.

gremlin mine seemed odd as well. (maybe for the sideboard?)

also volt charge seemed like an odd inclusion to me. is it just for the masses?

I think the deck isnt nearly as good with the loss of ornithopter and bushwacker, but I like how you've managed to keep the spirit of the deck alive, while having some mid range game intact. Although id rather just go for all or nothing in a deck like this, allowing more slots for quick kills (which is really what it wants to do at its core) Trying to hit on the hellkite or titan seems like it might be hard to do with 18 lands tho, but its always nice to have some poweri if you fizzle at first
thanks for the comments keep them coming. the gremlin mine and volt charge are meant for killing planeswalkers. hellkite and titan are late game if im facing control.
