Peter should have taken the name Simon back after how he behaved. He wasn't a rock for Jesus. He denied Him thrice, he didn't believe Mary when told the tomb was empty. He even had to go see the tomb for himself and still didn't tell the other apostles that Mary had told the truth. He obviously was ashamed of his actions and now jealous of Mary for she stayed my Christ's side through the beginning, His cruxifiction and when He arose. Of course Peter would taint the true history of this woman.

Yes all the Disciples scattered After Our Lord Jesus was handed over to the Priests,, in the bible it say's only the women where there at his Crucifixion, Jesus did say to Simon, Join me I will call you Peter ( Rock ) and on this Rock I will build my Church ? yet Jesus came to save the Jews....

God Made Man, Male and Female he made them, (Genesis ) God made us equal..

OMG...she was the leader of the Apostles! I always knew there was something strange about Mary Magdalene.....the way she was protrayed as a whore and all that....it wasn't true

JESUS DIDN'T ATTEMPT TO START ANY CHURCH , HE WAS A JEW AND WAS TRYING TO REPAIR THE JEWISH FAITH . CHRISTIANITY GREW BECAUSE OF IT.

@Helios601 Perhaps our beliefs determine where we will end up. Your father has ended up in a place without God as you explained and you may end up there as well. When my soul left my body, it did indeed go before the presence of our Lord. It happened in 1994 and I recall every minute detail as if was a moment ago. Sadly, the only thing I can't "reproduce" is the absolute perfect bliss and unconditional love that just "was". Love here on Earth and Love in Heaven are vastly different.

@eastariel Ummmm, nope. Judas, second only to Christ, had a vital role in our salvation. He willingly allowed the devil to enter him so that everything would come to pass as Jesus had foretold. Jesus asked this of Judas three days prior to Passover because Judas understood fully Jesus' message. It is why Judas had to commit suicide. The devil, needing to exit Judas' body, had Judas commit suicide. This is the only way the devil could be certain he would not come before God in death.

Mary spied on Judas then warned Jesus. She and Jesus fled.

The Roman soldiers hated traitors. So when they came to the camp with Judas and found Jesus gone, they beat Judas beyond recognition and took him instead, insisting he was Jesus. Judas didn't argue; he wanted the credit.

Judas was the one who was crucified. And he was the one who lied about human sacrifice paying for sins.

He demanded the worship intended for Jesus, and when he couldn't get it, he tried to destroy Jesus' true teachings.
