  • How does one choose one of these 4 imams to follow?

  • @Madhofd Depending on ones location and locality because it will be easy to contact the scholars and seek from them. If one lives in a Shafiee area and there are a lot of scholars of that school of thought it would be unwise to follow the madhab of Imam Abu Hanifa [unless one has access of scholars and knowledge].

  • Subhaanallaah, such wonderful characters.

May Allaah elevate their statuses & keep doing so until the day of Reckoning.

May Allaah increase us in love for them & all the true scholars throughout all of time.

May Allaah guide the tongues of those who blindly insult them...

    Aameen.

  • Ibn Abdul Barr ra a famous Maliki muhadith/scholar from Spain who came just after the time of imam Ahmed therefor only had a book on the 1st three and their merits, this is what has been related of them via their students/teachers , contempries and general public, recorded during their time and by IBn Abdul Barr over a 1000 years ago! it's not sum guy now cuming making exagerations!

  • Many of the merits of the 1st three can be found in the famous classical Spanish scholar Ibn Abdul barr(ra) who was born i think during (360 AH) Al-Intiqâ' fî Fadâ'il al-Thalâthat al-A'immat al-Fuqahâ' Mâlik wal-Shâfi`î wa Abî Hanîfa (The Hand-Picked Excellent Merits of the Three Great Jurisprudent Imâms: Mâlik, Shâfi`î, and Abû Hanîfa)

  • People these days are too narrow minded, I think becuz we do not have people so pious in our times therefore poeple can't comprehend(others just fitna mongers) Islam is not our narrow perception. Look at the ulema of the past from the like of the 4 imams, sufyan at thawri, hasan al basri ul be shocked at their level of piety.

  • @john1136 what are you saying this is the problem I'm assuming ur no scholar neither am I, but dnt reject things becuz it's beyond ur understanding, read the classical books of tareekh, bhukari(ra) wud read entire Quran in 1 sitting same to many others. Ur argument is so weak. Don't u no 3rd caliph uthman (ra) was famous for reciting entire quran in 1 rak'ah

  • Alot of these incidents are related via strong chains and mentioned by the ulema of the past such as suyuti etc so no they are not exaggerations

  • Don't attract truth to the invididual because the individual is a human being and is bound to make mistakes, and when they die people will think the truth has died away. Beware of exaggeration Prophet(pbuh) warned against. Salamalaikum.

  • Be careful, I'm sure these imams rahimuhumullah did not want to be exaggerated like this. If the Prophet (pbuh) didn't read the whole of Quran what makes u think Imam Abu Hanifa did? This is exaggeration my brothers. Wallahi these imams would not want to be praised this much, especially Abu Hanifa (RA)

  • Allahu Akbar, 1 rackat reciting the whole Quran, wow!

  • @jesusdagr8 Jazak Allah for these words.

May Allah swt uplift their rank and may Allah swt also accept our fast

    amin
