  • It's nice to hear some common sense on this issue.

  • Bjorn is quite rational, I loved his book. Laura Blue is hot. (Had to say it, sorry)

  • @Audioholics It gives me such a headache. i am on the verge now of saying "Let's stop talking about Carbon" and focus on where the problems will inevitably occur before we waste any more time & money on it. Just to shut the conspiracy nuts up. It doesn't matter at this point if we agree that climate change is anthropogenic, it matters that it is happening, and much more devastating outcomes will occur than Lomborg seems to take into consideration. I'll look at your doc. Cheers

  • @irononheroes Well stated and agreed. We need to be smart while also keeping the extreme environmentalists in check. The problem now however is large corporations dictate government policy so we will likely never have an effective and comprehensive energy bill that moves us away from fossil fuels.

  • @Audioholics true but I totally agree with his "prioritizing" strategy and realistic viewpoints ever since I read his book 9 years ago. Too bad inflammatory language has continued to rule the actions of people who have wasted too much money and resources to make their point in the form of summits.

  • @moretap Yeahm, they really do take a more rational approach "Drill, baby, Drill!"

  • @MusicManMystery Carbon dioxide, methane, and water vapour are greenhouse gases.

  • @jointfetish Totally! I am going to start my car right now and leave it idling on the driveway, for , like, HOURS! It's gonna be awesome.

  • @Sigifrith Lol.....WHAT? a "Final Solution"? I will admit that environmentalists are troubled by the language they are using, and that is precisely what Lomborg is saying. But don't take a rational, centrist guy with a practical approach and twist his words to fit in with your conspiracy theories. Environmentalists see that population is a problem, because everyone uses energy. Your criticism could be more thoughtfully constructed. Please, try again.

  • @markpitzner That is NOT AT ALL what Lomborg is saying. Please don't put words in his mouth. How did you extract that from this interview??

  • It makes sense that Bjorn would be acussed of being a "Republican lacky". The Republican party takes a more sound and rational approach similar to Bjorn's. What is the reporters problem with that? Oh yeah, TIME reporters are numbskulls.

  • Bjorn is a great talker but also great at misrepresenting statistical data or omitting critical data from his analysis to strengthen his 2 dimensional arguments.

I suggest watching the 3 part video on youtube by Michael Pawlyn which discusses the issues in a more balanced fashion while also addressing Lomborg's statistical data and conclusions.
