the ak and it variants uses a gas blowback system with a very basic locking system
the cz vz 59 uses a tilting locking system and a short stroke gas pistion system
they are pretty much a 21 century ak47

vz 58 was designed in czechoslovakia (now is it CZECH republic and SLOVAK republic)

Good video. The VZ is a supurb firearm. I'd take it over the AK any day. The fact that this firearm exists is testament to it's quality. The Soviets forced everyone else to produce and field the AK. I own one and I love it.

I love this weapon! Got to shoot it for the first time a few months ago. Feels much more comfortable to carry and shoot as an AK47. Czechs have a reputation of making good weapons and the Vz. 58 confirms that!

man i was out looking for an ak and 1 of the guys at the store pointed 1 of these to my attention..the model i was looking at had this funky shoulder stock..it just looked horrible the only thing that kept me from buying the vz 58 was the fact that you cant change out the stock..arsenal seems to make a great ak but ive heard the vz 58's are much more accurate and controllable..seems like you own the gun whats your take on them..would really appreciate your feedback on this!

They are FANTASTIC guns, reliable and accurate... and the stock can be changed in about 5min...
