Boeing has displayed a 1/16 scale model of a concept to replace the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The model was shown within Boeing's exhibit hall space at the Navy League Sea Air and Space Expo 2010 on 3 May at National Harbor, Maryland. The so-called F/A-XX model features stealthy design characteristics and a tailless planform for a carrier-based fighter. In some respects, it seems to appear as a natural follow-on to the aborted A-12 program, which was canceled 20 years ago as costs soared and design problems mounted.

  • I hope this is going to be a good fighter jet for the U.S. then the F-22

  • @w0y1z92753 Oh for cryin out loud, both of you stop fighting, both of your countries are progressing and both are making mistakes at the same time. So lets all be friends and not fight.

  • @Pr3dProductionsHD the instability will give it extremely high maneuverability when coupled with the fly by wire and thrust vectoring. this also drastically decreases drag and RCS.

  • This won't be a stable plane, without vertical stabilizers... although quite interesting.

  • theres gonna be folding surfaces for yaw

  • for the sceptics, you can achieve every air manoeuvre except for yaw with just two ailerons and you can achieve any flight path without yaw. its makes sense on many levels to do away with redundant hinged surfaces.

  • Anyone trying to downplay this jet with only having a downscaled model as information to critizie it by can just eat shit, bottom line.

  • @w0y1z92753 many things made in China even in other countries. But guess who owns those counties? We do. We're also the biggest supplier of military equipment. We also own facebook, google, and youtube. Some of the biggest companies in the world. Dont forget all of our car companies. The reason i brought up walmart is that if the 3 owners of Walmart combine their money they would have more money then any one in the world. We may be in some dept trouble but the world would crumble without us.

  • @BarrettMasada Nice companies you listed as your biggest - Walmart, McDonalds - Both sell fast food, both produce nothing. I didn't realise you thought places like McD's and Walmart produce shit. And you're calling me stupid? Wow. BTW Walmart specializes in foreign products you know - made in China type shit?

    Like I said de-industrialized.

  • @w0y1z92753 Wow just wow. You really are that dumb. 70% you sure are good at making up numbers, and If the war broke out tomorrow everyone would coming running to us. You know why? Because we have the best troops and military equipment. If we're so deindustrialized then how come we have some of the most rich and powerful companies? Including Apple, Walmart, and even McDonalds a company that Is in almost every country. And a McDonalds jokes? You are a typical foreign faggot.
