No doubt man, Eddie plays rhythm like nobody, He's a badass. Forget the flash when you look at the foundation nobody does what Eddie does. He ain't Yngwie and doesn't have to be, Eddie is the complete package. All the haters: facts don't lie, taste is different but facts don't lie. . .

old EVH that is, EVH is still godly but he has made alot of screwups this tour in 2008, but when i saw em at this concert (October 12 2007) no mistakes at all but still he still is good but old EVH was the god of gods

I bet if you ask Paul and Nuno they would tell you EVH was one of their biggest influences and without him they wouldn't be the players they are now....and they would never say they could "play circles" around EVH..Eddie is the single most influential rock guitarist alive bar none..

That is also like saying "Sammy Haggars" current guitarist in the wabos can play circles around Eddie. Don't think so! (Long live Eddie)!!! The inventor OF THE TWO HAND TAP (no matter what anyone says). I even heard someone online state that steve vai was even better??? Please. I can play guitar with my ass cheeks and sound better than Vai!! LOL

Paul Gilbert is very good and is one of my many guitar influences.. however, Eddie Van Halen is a legend and always will be. Don't ever knock the greats.

I admit Paul Gilbert is good but it seems like all he does is repeat scales. Eddie has alot more soul and skill. Paul Gilbert just doesn't stand up to the mighty eddie.
