Pond is a great synth space music project found by Wolfgang Fuchs and Manfred Henning. Formed in 1979 in Deutsche Demokratische Republik and released this 1st LP in 1984 through Amiga label. Floating synth textures in the teutonic space tradition, reminding Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze,etc. In 1981 Harald Wittkowski joined and quit after POND released "Space walks" album. Later Fuchs' two sons joined the band, focusing mostly on producing music for planetariums. In the 90's the style changed a little to techno, however with their later albums they stick to their original style.
