Save thousands of "mom and pop" cigar shops, premium cigar manufacturers and their employees from being regulated out of business by the FDA. Support S.1461 & HR 1639 - The Traditional Cigar Manufacturing & Small Business Jobs Preservation Act.

Save thousands of "mom and pop" cigar shops, premium cigar manufacturers and their employees from being regulated out of business by the FDA. Support S.1461 & HR 1639 - The Traditional Cigar Manufacturing & Small Business Jobs Preservation Act.

Omissions & Corrections - Annual Cigarette Unit Sales 500 Billion, Annual Mass Market Large Cigar Unit Sales 5 Billion, Annual Large Premium Cigar Unit Sales 250 Million. Premium cigars represent a tiny fraction of a percent of all tobacco sales.

FDA regulations would also add additional "User Fees" (taxes) to cigars.

  • Another point. ALL smokers of ALL tobacco products should stick together. Tobacco is tobacco and the damned head hunters are out to ban all of it. Pipe smokers, cigar smokers, cigarette smokers should ALL stick together and do what we can to protect it ALL. The idiotic feds succeed in banning one...the others will not be far behind.

  • It's a never ending spiral, first cigarettes then cigars that are flavored. They'll say that because there are no flavored tobacco's that kids moved on to regular tobacco. and then they'll ban that. These idiots ruin pleasure for adults because kids are kids, kids are idiots. Hold irresponsible kids accountable, not sellers.

  • i can safely say that none of this bullshit would have happened if tobacco was just for all ages

  • @KripDrip Those statistics are BS. There is no way to prove with 100% certainty that someones death was caused by tobacco use. Two of my uncles died of lung cancer. Their smoking was most likely a factor, but there is no way to prove it's what caused it. On the other hand, I have a friend with serious lung issues that may end up killing her. She never smoked a day in her life. As Mark Twain said "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics".

  • this is why i live in canada, where they dont even give a fuck, well a small fuck on flavored cigarettes, but thats it

  • @KripDrip Further more almost everything in this world can cause cancer! tobacco, alcohol, marijuana, any form of smoking, the sun, food, building materials, cell phones, power lines, food dyes, plastic, camp fires, BQQ grills, any form of smoke, drinking water, city air, chemical fumes, car fumes, prescription drugs, etc, etc, etc The world is filled with carcinogens tobacco just happens to be the hot topic right now

  • @KripDrip true again but let make very clear cigars have no additives in them (at least the handmade cigars) cigarettes have thousands of cancer causing chemicals added!!! That's why people so many people die from cigarettes. Anything can kill you let's start with alcohol, drunk driving (which can kill you and other people, cancer of the blood, oral cancer, liver cancer, extreme damage to the brain (espically if you're a child) completely destroying your liver, causing you to become violent.

  • it doesnt matter. Cigars have tobacco which has carcinogens. It causes cancer! Cigars are not safe. They can kill you.

  • @KripDrip true but remember people don't usually inhale cigars or smoke them as much as cigarettes which greatly lowers the risk of heart disease and lung cancer as well as other lung related problems. Many health studies say that an average cigar smokers mortality rate is very similar to a non-smoker. George Burns smoked 10 cigars a day and lived to be 100, Sigmound Freud smoked 20 cigars day and a pipe and died of oral cancer at 83, you can't compare crappy cigarettes to expensive cigars

  • thats only cause very few people smoke cigars compared to cigarettes. The cigar market is extremely small compared to the cigarette market. Its no safer. If just as many people smoked cigars and smoked them frequently like cigarettes, there would be a lot more cigar related deaths.

  • @KripDrip correction CIGARETTES kill over 400,000 Americans each year, cigars kill roughly 10,000 Americans and pipes kill around 8,000 people, in other words cigars and pipes kill far less people than alcohol
