It gotta stop right there and takes a spare of times to help us and our school to stand on the ground like they has been for 150 years. and help gives my child and future student in Fall 2012 (my second child) as well as rest of students a opportunity of education

My son (preschool and he's only 2 and half years old) just started school at MSD last monday October 24th 2010.... So far, He LOVES school and he ENJOY what he LEARN from school. NOW, look at this all messes and needs to be clean up. I mean I look at my son and start realized how much he would lose all his opportunity that school offered for him... HELL NO that isn't how it works like that! I'm frigging mother of MSD student and I'm frigging wife to be of MSD graduated (Chad Black).... l

@Bunjer So as a result students would end up going to MSD which has much more to offer. Enrollment actually will be on the rise for that very reason, once realizing in other states like the Kansas School for the Deaf for example! Enrollment is picking up. In the State of Kansas, because that mistake, deaf students were spread out thin! Services as a result is spread out too thin as well, so and funds and resources are depleted. It costs more to spread out educational Services across the state!

Too late for Minority Rule, but still not too late to fight ;) Argue that the school should not be closed but expande, because of the services are proven be unmatched or unparalleled. No other school districts can offer a complete package, like the Michigan School for the Deaf could, because It's impossible! Most cases, when deaf students are at first enrolled in public school districts, parents and educators realize they lack the services and needs for the students.

WOW! It's same as my school (ENCSD-Eastern NC School for the Deaf) and NCSD (NC School for the deaf) went thru last year and few years! We fought for our school(s) and our future children. Finally The governor and legislators decided to keep both of our schools and blind school. I know how MSD goes thru like this. OFC I will email governor to VETO Bill 1558!!!!!!!
