This is 2 of the rifle stages at the ASC Zombie Shoot. The first is my first event of the day and it's the long range rifle nicknamed "the junkyard." I am shooting a para TTR upper and RDS stock on a zombie defense lower. I have a nikon 1-4x M223 scope with a LaRue tactical quick release mount. In this event there are 8 targets you must hit and then move to another location to hit the same 8 targets. You only get 16 rounds in a magazine and you're scored by the most hits and then by time. I am an idiot and loaded 14 rounds into my magazine and not 16, so I had to end the stage early, which I was on par to set the (at the time) course record since I only missed a couple targets. Having made such a silly mistake I decided to come back to this stage later in the day.

The second stage is the "graveyard" stage and you get as many rounds as you need. There are 9 targets in the first part where you can shoot from however you're comfortable, then you move to a moving target, and once you score a hit on that you have one shot at a red dot the size of a quarter for a bonus pyro suprise. I started off well, however hit one of the pins 5 times before my RO called a hit. You can see how upset I was since I was just walking to the next target knowing I was nowhere near the course time.

The last part is the first stage I did, the junkyard, that I ran before ending the day. After getting 8 straight hits and on par to take the course record, I got a little to antsy and the 3rd shot on the next position I could not calm myself down and took a bad shot, which would be my only miss of the stage. On the last target, one of the dummy targets moved and the yellow shirt was blocking my target. I asked the RO if I could go prone and was told I had to complete the stage from this position, so I took a shot through the shirt to score my final hit, which I impressed myself with. In the end, the course record was 16 hits and 59 seconds and I had 15 hits and 73 seconds, even with losing valuable time at the end.

Overall I had little confidence in shooting my AR15 after having trouble sighting in my nikon scope at the range a week prior to the event, and I did the best with it that day, and very satisfied with both my weapon system and my ability.
