In Germany you can get this stuff at every DIY-Store for about 5€ for a 3cm thick and 1200x600mm plate. If you buy more then 10 of them, you get them for 4€each

It´s a Steelwire with an diameter of 0,5mm. That kind of stuff you get @ your local DIY-Store
