This time lapse shows the field at University of Phoenix Stadium (Glendale, AZ) being rolled out and re-sodded over a four day period starting after the Arizona Cardinals played the Minnesota Vikings on December 14, 2008. After a long NFL season and two high school state championship games on the field the week before, the grounds crew decided to re-cover the entire playing surface (working with Evergreen Turf) in preparation for the Cardinals' last home game, their ensuing playoff run and the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
The Arizona Cardinals and Evergreen Turf contracted Time Lapse Technologies to document the project, and the footage was featured on NBC's national telecast before the Cardinals' wild card playoff against the Atlanta Falcons.
