Are you serious? Have you read Watchmen? If you boil it down into xenophobia and mindless violence you will get a great movie?

Please explain this to me... I mean Watchmen had very little action in it, especially in context with other "super hero" stories. A director whose career "highlight" is 2 hours of masturbatory effects and violence shouldn't be allowed anywhere near it.

Please don't compare anything Zack Snyder has done to Blade Runner. Blade Runner is in a completely different league.

I read it. However, I disagree on many of the author's standpoints in that article. I wasn't sure if I bought into some of his occult symbolism theories until I read his character bios.

He is far overthinking Ozy, to the point where almost all credibility is gone, and then he doesn't seem to understand the Comedian, who has much greater significance.

Overall I don't think that he has a correct viewpoint on the graphic novel or the characters in it. Interesting to read though.

Don't complain how Snyder made 300 a "racist, homophobic mindless piece of violent trash" because the graphic novel is already like that. One of Frank Miller's trademarks in graphic novels is over the top brutality, so the movie had to have over the top brutality.

From people who watched the first 22 minutes of the film, they're already saying that Watchmen hasn't lost at all its storytelling touch and that it'll be the Blade Runner of superhero films.

Another thing that is true. Watchmen without its ending is simply not Watchmen.
