    Knopfler with the best solid body electric guitar in the World: Gibson Les Paul. Better than his classic Fender Strat. Those humbuckers and classic Gibson sustain are from another world.

    Although Sting is a Rock/Reggae monster, great singer, bass player and great Human Being, he was also backing vocalist on the original Dire Straits studio recording of this music, on the original album. That's why Knopfler says "ideal was to have Sting here....", kind of replicate the original "setup".
