will that tool work for locks with security pins?

Yes, will do. Any pin tumbler cylinder the tool fits the keyway profile to will work.

It's a 'Torque & Tension' Tool. This allows for an even torque to be applied to the cylinder plug, whilst controlling the tension applied to turn the plug at the same time.

Ah, the HPC TNT-2. I've always wanted one of those or the Dyno DNT-21. BTW, both are available from SouthOrd for anyone who's looking.
I was planning on buying one of these for tight fitting deadbolts, the kind that require a lot of torque...even with a key. Do you know if they'd hold up under that much pressure? It would be nice to know before dropping fifty dollars.

You can get away with a fair amount of tension, so I guess it would work okay on tight fitting bolts. The only down side I have found with this tool, is that it can have a tendancy to cause the pick to catch on it, and want to pull it away from the cylinder.
