Hi .
I wanted to know how do you creta your "control voltage signals" ?
thank you for your answer.
I don't exactly understand what are the CV/gate input and output.....
you can answer right to my email : juleshuet@gmail.com
thanks

Thanks for the vid! Do you know if this would this work with a hz/oct synth such as Korg MS-20?

when i put my .wav file into a song to play with it. it sets a tempo for it and speeds it up/slows it down in certain sections. how do i put the .wav file in without altering it at all??

@feelindizzy343 the analog outputs on motu's interfaces are dc-coupled, which is what you want for CV.

This is fantastic stuff. I knew you could use software to make it into a synth, but I didn't realize it was that simple with something like Ableton.
Hey. Thanks for the vid. you inspired me to get a resonator. It is on its way.
I have a macbook pro i7 and am running ableton 8. I have an akai apc 40 and now the frostwave synth. What else should I get to complete this setup. You mentioned needing a motu interface to run the frostwave. Which model is the best and or most affordable? Is there any other gear you would recommend? thanks

@ElfMagic42 congrats on finding a resonator! they're tough to come by these days. the motu ultralite is ~$550 retail... good place to start. they have a smaller/cheaper interface, but it's not going to give you enough to ins/outs.

@tremorcore - I was looking at the motu ultralite and it looks like there is a new one called the hybrid. Is this the best interface to get to work with the frostwave? If you have any other suggestions they would be appreciated but if the motu ultralite mk3 hybrid is the way to go I will be purchasing one. Thanks

@ElfMagic42 the ultralite is great.. i use the mk2. go for it.

can you reverse the process and send cv to your daw ? cv to midi?
indiasrainbow 2 years ago
you can record cv into your daw, for sure. if you were to record an analog LFO's cv, you'd end up with shapes not unlike the ones i created for this vid. (i've done this with my sherman.)
to convert those signals to midi would require an audio>midi or audio>midiCC plug-in... there are a few of these freely available on the web. i think reaper has one bundled...
