@Raketmensch1 Yep Andy Partridge produced his first demos and Mr. Dolby was being seriously considered as a direct replacement for leaving keyboardist Barry Andrews at one point - circa 1979 before they decided on old Swindon mate Dave Gregory - mainly 'cos Andy P. thought Mr. Dolby's songwriting talent might take over the band!! Partridge put it thus 'Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the dressing room - Barry Andrews 2!!'

@BlueSilverStars Dude. . . I lived for 25 years . . count 'em, 25 YEARS, thinking I had heard this in a dream . . . And I own everything Thomas Dolby ever recorded . . . or so I thought. . .Don't feel bad.

u must get the recorded version...it's a whole lot different and my personal favorite. the album is just called Low Noise. and the title track is "Jungle Line" the B side is "Urban Tribal" but not this version....a much better version

the recorded version on the "Low Noise" record i think is much more haunting and done great with a electronic piano. it's much more dramatic than this version, and in my opinion better. this is still really cool though. I didn't know there was a live version to it. Cool

Brilliant track - seriously underrated was Mr. Dolby - and nearly in XTC at one point!!

Thanks for posting this one.
Gah. Well I feel stupid. I just bitched on another Thomas Dolby video about how I couldn't find this song anywhere. Brainfart!
