Hingol or Hingl means "indian" in the Iranic Balochi language. The term was used by the Balochis for the pockets of indians who resided in Balochistan. The Sindhi hindus who go there to worship took the balochi term ("hingol") and added the indo-aryan suffix "-aaj" to it making it "hinglaaj".
