The CardioChek for Home Use Analyzer is a fast, portable, accurate and easy-to-use test system for self-monitoring cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, glucose or ketones to manage risk of heart disease, diabetes and ketogenic diet programs. The CardioChek for Home Use is intended for in vitro diagnostic use to test whole blood. Using the CardioChek for Home Use, you can quickly measure various blood components from a small sample size. The CardioChek for Home Use is an alternative to the BioScanner.

The CardioChek for Home Use consists of three main parts. These include the analyzer, test strips and a MEMo Chip (Each package of strips comes with a MEMo Chip that contains lot specific information for the specific strip being used). When a blood sample is applied to the test strip, a chemical reaction occurs producing a color change. The CardioChek for Home Use analyzer uses reflectance photometry to measure the color reaction and compares the information to the calibration curve stored in the MEMo Chip. The CardioChek for Home Use analyzer converts this color reading into a test result, which is displayed on the screen.
