True angler, he was about to go back at it again and forgot to close off his speech. "Action speak louder than words." -old saying

What type of reel do you use?

thats cover not structure
Hey ProMontage Editor I've used a little bit of everything over the years but this year I've become attached to Lew's reels. Great quality product at a resonable price.

I use a variety of baits on the shakey head including chigger and zoom critter craws. A fluke and 3" swim bait also work well when the shad bit is on. Keep thinking outside the box - you are on the right track to tremendous success. Good luck.

question. i flip on my frog rod but am looking for a flippin and pitchin stick. i use between a 1/4 and 5/8 ounce lures. and 17-20 pound fluro. would a 7' 6" medium heavy rod work well for this? (the rod is a little bit stiffer than most MH rods)

@RyanCorsiatto The 7' 6' MH will work if it leans a lot toward the heavy side. Fluoro stretches you made need braid for this action.

Hey guys, you're doing a great critiquing session. Honestly this one was a total surprise...I knew I was doing the right things, but catching that fish on queue was priceless.

couple questions-- what lenght of rod do you use? I know MH rods are the right weight to have. And what baits do you use for flipping? thanks

I use between a 7-foot and 7'6" rod and I prefert o flip a Lunker Lure Body Loc Jig (finesse jig), or a soft plastic like a sweet beaver or a chigger craw. Good Luck!
