@reformedeklektos You just reinforced my opinion of Calvinists having "hard hearts" with your arrogant and presumptious reply.

No, Jesus definitely paid the penalty. The issue you have is your false definition probably of "impute," and the fact that you probably believe Jesus "took the wrath of God" upon Himself... yet the Bible doesn't teach this.
Jesus bore our sins in the sense that He was punished, and comparing that with NT Scriptures proves that. But to say there were literal sins upon His back... no mention of that, it's a spiritual metaphor. You have a false atonement view.
-
@droptozro actually if jesus died for someone they will be saved. That is what the Bible teaches. You are saying that Christ actually bore nobody sins and paid the penalty for them.
-
"If he came to save the Jews then all the Jews would be saved"
Actually, that's the error on your part---just because Jesus died for someone, doesn't mean they HAVE to believe it.
"Nowhere in the context..."
It's amazing you can recognize this when you read my statement, however when the words "whoever, all, whosoever, anyone, world" etc.. are used in context to someone who wishes to be saved, that means "Jew & Gentile" even when it's not implied. Consistent? nope.
-
@droptozro So are you implying that Jesus did not come to save his people that were not Jews prior to his coming, because there are examples of non Jews in the OT who were declared to be saved. No where in the context does it say the Jews only. You can't even see the error in such an ignorant statement. If he came to save the Jews then all Jews would be saved.

@8shizzle its obvious you dont even know the Bible or what Calvinists believe since you just showed your ignorance in a false representation of it

John 4:10 ◦New American Standard Bible Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
Isn't a gift something you reach out and take or is it shoved down your throat?

It seems as though every person that I've listened to, who professes Calvinism ie: (" God elects some to go Heaven and others to go to Hell") have a hard heart edge.
Let me get this right... we are not supposed to be Jesus to the world? We are not supposed to love people, but focus on hating ourselves? I may be wrong but that seems like it will only increase suicide rates, not bring about healing or redemption to the world.

@kylesigmon when you say "let me get this right" I would assume you would be interacting with something MacArthur actually said. But he never said not to love people or focus hating ourselves. Christ taught to love people and to deny yourself or love your life less than Him - since loving your own life over loving Christ can lead to not having a proper view of Christ. Please don't misrepresent people anymore. Thank you.

I really do affirm all that Jonny Mac has spoken and I'm reformed myself. But I really hate the way this video is titled

@DevineAnointing07 I do too, but it has the same title as a video directed towards me and Calvinism on youtube. Except it is "Calvinism DEBUNKED...etc"
