@KiruSai Actually, I'll always see Emos as whiny little pricks who'd bitch about getting a christmas present because it's 'uncool' to be happy. Emos are completely different from those with real depression issues, and this video is poking fun at Emos, not the people with real psychological or biological issues.

@sabatacon Sohmer isn't making fun of depression at all. Many emo say they are depressed but thats a big pill of BS. Also being able to lafe about yourself or about groups you belong to is a must. After all, how can u make fun of others and say it isn't prejudicial, racist or insulting and simply humour if they can't make fun of u as well?
If Sohmer was to make fun of Aspergers(which i am) or otistics in general I would lafe my ass off.

@sabatacon Realize, it is hard to talk about the whole while considering the fraction with real problems. When you talk about smokers, you don't mention those facing immesurable stress, or Glacoma problems when talking about obesity. Generalization is a common human trait used to put the role of a genre onto another. People will always see Emo's and the thoughtful, but brooding types, while they think of Sports people as the charismatic but sort of dull types. Thems the breaks.

I love all forms of Sohmer, but this video pissed me off. Yes there are a lot of whining 14 years-old idiots complaining their i-pods broke and life is terrible because of it, but then there are those who do have serious depression, and this sadness is out of their control. I used to be one of those depressed ones, and life did really seem terrible. I still deal with depression to this day, but not as severely. I wish I could enjoy this song, but I think it follows a poor stereotype.
