@lumeriam Now that I agree with. I wish CPS didn't need to exist! I wish people would stop expecting everyone else to take care of children. Other cultures do not tolerate child abuse and ouside family will move in and "mediate" or take the children for a period of time, as will neighbors, friends, church, etc. But instead people expect one overworked social worker to fix hundreds of families. The money could then be spent on education, free child care, etc.

the reference to "our" families is funny. These same people will say we are in a multi-racial, multi-cultural environment, the goal of which is non-cohesion, socially--- so what is "our?" And can you really take children (for money) and then put them in another world, with radically different people? And yet, people say there are more incentives for placing some kinds of kids, over others (so those will be decided never to go home)

This is why they target white kids because they are in more demand than dark kids for the foster parent market! Real abuse is ignored in poor areas unless the children are blond hair, blue eyes. CPS only investigates the smallest infractions for white children, then ignores valid complaints by minority children.

China has so many people that people are packed together like sardines...whether you or I agree with it, it at least makes logical sense to limit how many kids they have. How you made the bizarre leap from that, to assuming that because people freaked out about Janet Jackson's nipple being shown at the Superbowl is somehow linked to the destruction of the heterosexual family is downright bizarre....but entertaining...please go on!
