  • Ahhhh pure bliss... What a composer eh???.. Absolutely lovely... *sighs* :0)x

  • @wenglishsal Thank you for your comments. To me this music reflects a period of English history that has since long gone.... The "Empire" when everything seemed so "easy" (which it wasn't) the Victorian/Edwardian era. Elgar was the best representative of that era, to my thinking.

  • Every time I hear this, I get the unshakable feeling that all's right with the world. Elgar's music can do that to you.

  • @schlesmail .. You are right there ... all is right with the worl, the trouble is the same cannot be said about some "humans" .. So let's continue to believe in the beauty of our planet and certain human creations such as music .. and let's be humble about it. Thank you for your appreciation.

  • brilliant. just the right tempo, delicacy of melody and hanging back at the right times. Could we have a few pictures of his birthplace and the Malvern Hills as well??

  • @Igor372 Thank you for your comments. I'll see whether I can find some pictures, but I somehow doubt it.

  • A composer who not only expressed through his beautiful music, his own soul but that of the Angelo-Saxon peoples of Britain. Elgar's music will live on when all others are forgotten.

  • Takes me back to "Childrens Hour" on the BBC when I was a kid growing up in Scotland.

  • @livesteam ... Oh I absolutely agree with you... Outstanding composer and the music just lifts you and carries you along with it... Utterly lovely and a real treat to listen too... thank you for posting this fabulous gem... Best regards from Wales UK :0)x
