  • @tuffroofgarret throw in all of congress(ron p. need not attend) they could even set up some remedial economic classes to prep themselves

  • @jimwal2008

I said that sarcastically ..... this series ends at the point where the history has taken the worst turn towards economic anarchy and somehow delibrately ignores the events of 1980s which led to current situation. I am reading this book as well, but the problem is that people who took country out of pit and set the direction towards total collapse are portrayed as heros.

  • @bmujeeb

US financial system = free markets?

Please explain Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and then also how a free market can exist with a million & one financial regulations. Your getting free markets mixed up with Crony capitalism.

  • @tuffroofgarrett I haven't seen "The Warning," but I'll check it out since someone endorsing this as mandatory high school material brought it up. Thanks!

  • @ARenofHeavens This documentry deals with the ecomonomic ideology like government intervention and free markets along with nationalization and privitization of state assets. The main focus is 20th century and somehow defining winners and loosers of it. The westren world europe and US have followed the free market system, and have seen rapid expansion in the economy but overlooked their budget deficits, debts and utilimately they are pushed into depression.

  • @bmujeeb

What are you asserting here exactly?

  • @tuffroofgarrett My economics and history teacher assigned me this! Don't worry, things are getting better! >:3

  • the question who is going to explain the current crisis of free market, mounting debt and privatization created by Chicago School of Economy rather Milton Friedman.

  • @tuffroofgarrett IT will be in my classroom this year.
