Shilpi Baruri

Shilpi is an internationally acclaimed Indian Classical Dancer. She has had her debut on stage at tender age of three. She has mesmerised the people across the globe with her precision, charm, sculpturesque posture and grace.
She has privileges of being student of the legends of Bharatnatyam circuit namely Padma-Bibhusan Yamini Krishnamurthy and Padma-Sree Chitra Viswesaran. She has rare glory of being the only student who has performed duet with both of these two legends.
She has performed in most prestigious theatres of the world like The Royal Festival hall, UK , The Sadler's Wells, UK and WOMAD Festivals.
In addition to being a great performer, she is also an astute choreographer and an inspiring teacher. She has taught and conducted workshops in India, UK, Spain, France and Australia.
Shilpi has now taken up a project to set up a centre of excellence in Indian Art. This centre will teach students Indian Dance, Music and other performing and visual arts. Shilpi will be supported by a group of high calibre artists based in Kolkata and a professional management team.
