@ImaMuffin its because there wild mushrooms are cheap, button mushrooms require more of a processs to grow.

kid of interesting that shitakes are the cheap mushroom there, and button mushrooms are more expensive. in the states it's the other way around

Very nice recipe!
I like to use my emersion blender on soups too!
I think I will make a pot this week. A slight change I would make is to put some of the sauted mushrooms to the while you use the blender and return the mushrooms after (looks nice to see some of the mushrooms). This is also a good recipe to use with parsnips too!

if reali lyk pizza hut or pasta mania or soup spoon they have to cook longer so it will bcome white in color...n nid more time or use all white mushroom instead
