  • A 13-year-old Arab-American girl must navigate a sexual obsession with a bigoted Army reservist under the oppressive eye of her Lebanese father during the Gulf War.

** This is a poor choice and again they used a theme that doesn't hit reality as in other communities.

  • i think this movie helped us to see Middle Eastern girls in a more refreshing light. They are not just walking around covered up, but they have real feelings like the rest of us! Open your eyes to a new perspective!

  • David: I guess Summer Bishil was desperate to hit big in the movies and accepted the role to give a poor portrait of arab girls. Why not portrait the life of a jewish girl with sexual desires at 13 for example? Would that be acceptable in Hollywood?

  • when did you see this? It says that it's coming out Aug. 15 2008 at Sundance

  • Is there graphic nudity because it's R rated and the leads are all over 18 now. Plus, it's a 2008 film
