A superb performance from 1985. Surprisingly, they've never recorded this (not even on their 'Jamboree' albums).

Despite their immense popularity, Chas & Dave are very poorly represented via YouTube. I have around 20 hours of footage (mainly from their 1979-1987 commercial & creative peak) so I've started this channel to share some of these classic performances. I'm always looking for more Chas & Dave footage (or upgrades of videos I already have), so if you have anything & feel like trading then please get in touch! Also let me know if there are any particular songs that you're after & I'll see if I can help. Please note this channel is not officially sanctioned by Chas & Dave, & any infringement of copyrights is unintentional; my sole aim is to promote their music to a wider audience.

See my blog for an in-depth review of Chas & Dave's classic albums (& how to buy them on official CDs):

  • erm north london, surely south london no?

  • @brynth123 Haha, good point! Of course, Chas & Dave aren't even from London: Chas was born in Enfield (Essex at the time, though it became part of London in the 60s) & Dave was born in Ponder's End (also Essex).

  • I remember seeing them play supporting the Block'heads in 78. I remember pint glasses were going everywhere but Dave got up and started singing this and the audience were all as one. It used to be punkier than this though, They used to wear bondage trousers and clothes from the kings road then. This was filmed after they started being Irish for brief period between 84-85

  • @ChasNDaveVideos Yeah but come on really, Canning Town wasn't London and was Essex till roughly the same time and look at it back then and now-could it be any more 'London'?! Same as Enfield and Ponder's End in the Borough of. Common sense gents :)

  • Great entertainers.

  • @mollymitch1 Chas is the piano player.

  • Can someone please help me? Which is Chas and which is Dave? I love their music but don't know who Cahs and Dave?
