A professional chef told me that if your cake sticks to the pan place it on a low flame on your stove, this will loosen the cake by heating up the butter. I don't butter & flour my cake, I line it with foil and smear vegetable oil on the foil before putting in the cake batter. Once done cover the cake pan with a plate for 10 minutes, the steam will release the foil from the cake. You could use parchment paper, but foil works just fine too.
