it was all in good fun, those moves are submission moves, not to inflict damage, they're PERFECT for a situation like this.
And 6) It made a great show, Maynard pulled those moves off and subdued a possible psycho all the while keeping his poise and never missed a beat, we all know Axl would have socked the guy, bitched about it and ended the show. Respect Maynard!

this was amazing, really liked that the lyric, choke down style just as he did that to the fan.

Then you're the worst bouncer alive. Anybody with half a brain looks at this and sees several things going on. 1) you never know why the fuck somebody has rushed on stage, you can't assume everyone there is a fan, and even if you did, 2) people do crazy shit 3) and cab be on multiple drugs as well as drunk 4) since security didn't show up Maynard took care of shit in a way that wasn't violent (punching the guy in the face) and 5)
