@FlyingHoncho23 wow this is as thrilling as or more than an F-16? cool. i wanted to be an airforce pilot but i do not meet the medical requirements, my eyes and ears are to bad for air force flying but not civil, i have decided to save up for the RV-4 i also live in Arizona,

Beautiful video, and loved your story. I'm heading to UPT in a year or so, (just got classed as 92T0 on monday!) and I hope to own an RV-4 someday. I hope God watches over me like he did you that night. God Bless.

Serving as an F-18 Naval Aviator and missing a Blue Angels slot by a hair has been a dream come true. I am a little disheartened by not making the Blues but I got to come home to my family sooner. Honcho23 it is vids like this that keeps the spark alive. Keep reaching for the clouds. Great Song.

Really like your video. I'm currently building an RV-4 and can't wait to take it out and do some cloud dancing of my own. Out of curiosity is that Phoenix area or Tuscon? (looks vaguely familiar- I grew up in Sedona). I'm looking forward to doing some flying in Arizona when the plane is done.What type of video recording setup do you use in the cockpit.

FlyingHoncho23? Honcho 23 was my call sign for a harrowing night combat mission where I received the Distinguished Flying Cross for valor. Cloud chasing and flying my RV-4 to the its limit are celebrations of life. God allowed me to come home so I celebrate it by doing this kind of stuff. Cloud chasing is "Touching the face of God" and is therapy for the soul.

I can't think of anything more fun to do....and that's coming from a guy who has over 2200 hours in a F-16.
