I applaud the efforts to make children safer, but this video sends a message to children that cycling is far more dangerous than it is.
There is a strong risk that messages like this discourage cycling and lead to greater health problems among inactive young people who have been scared off their bikes.
The best thing for children's health is to get out and ride, with or without helmets.
