Never Been Kissed: Chapter 14

Chapter Fourteen.

"What happened to you at school?" Nessa asked, arriving at my house later on in the day.
"Teenage humiliation." I confessed.
"Did it go badly?" she queried.
"No, no, it went well." I rushed. "I just happened to embarrass myself. I'd rather not relive it." I confessed, brushing off the topic.
"Fine with me. So, where's Lexi, I can't wait to meet her." she smiled.

Part of me wished I'd had a friend like Nessa through High School. Maybe I'd have enjoyed it more. The doorbell rang, and without giving me a spare second to open it, Lexi came storming in, Tequila bottles in hand.

"I don't know about you, but I sure am ready for a Margarita." she grinned, making ways towards the kitchen.
"That's Lexi." I shrugged towards Nessa, guiding her into the kitchen.

Tip Eleven: A little tequila and some girl talk could make anybody an open book. Especially a newly drunken high school Senior.

"And then Nick slipped on the ice slick, and rolled all the way back down the hill, only stopping at the bridge! Joe mentioned it routinely for an entire month!" she shrieked.

Getting Nessa drunk had really opened my eyes to how deep her feelings were for Nick. After finishing our second batch of margarita's, she had entertained Lexi and I - and I think, possibly herself - with endless stories of Nick. Nick said this to me, and Nick made this gesture. In some ways; it was rather pathetic. In others, it was devastatingly sweet.

"Why don't you try telling him how you feel?" Lexi suggested, obviously taking a stab at both Nessa and I, in one simple statement. Firstly, I had a feeling she was enjoying watching a drunken Nessa spill her heart out to a random stranger - and I would have to admit she would be slightly entertained at the people I was spending my weekdays with. High School girls with nothing more pressing to worry about besides; if a guy likes her; if she'll fit into her prom dress. Nessa was painting herself as a typical high school cliche', when I knew she deserved so much more credit. Secondly, she was mocking me, and my lame advice column, which never seemed to help anybody, not even the person writing it.

"He doesn't like me in that way." she confessed, taking another sip of her third margarita, which I then quickly shuffled out of her sight. I didn't want this girl puking on my carpets. "Why are you being so quiet?" she threw at me, causing Lexi to shoot me a disapproving look. "What's going on between you and Joe?" she asked, making it seem like I had no way out but to confess the truth.
"Nothing's going on between Joe and I. We're friends." I said, sounding way too non-convincing.
"You didn't tell me there was a guy." Lexi teased. "Who is he, is he cute?" she questioned.
"Lex! He's 18!"

Thankfully - in her drunk state - Nessa didn't comment on the fact that I too was 18.

"You and Joe flirt ALL the time." Nessa giggled.
"We're friends!" I continued to say, hoping the subject would drop.
"Does she do the face?" Lexi asked, and she and Nessa then continued to do a fascinated gawp, making themselves look retarded.
"I do not do that face!" I protested, causing us all to burst into a fit of giggles.
"I just want someone to like me, for me." Nessa sighed.

So that was what the average teenager girl wanted. Okay, maybe not the average teenage girl. The teenage girl who pretends she doesn't care about boys, and spends way too much time on her homework, and on weekends she does extra credit instead of hanging out with her friends. If any of you are thinking of me right now.....sleep with one eye open. This girl, was Nessa. And she deserved everything she wished for.

As many of you guys know - probabley all of you - my other story is finished, so I won't be posting as often. I've almost finished writing this story, and I need to begin writing season 4 of my other, with no idea what's going to happen :/

In other news: Nick and Selena? Are you guys loving or hating? Personally....hating them, haha.

Yeahh, she does seem 'obsessed'. Like, she'll do anything to have a boyfriend, then once she gets him, she has to constantly tell people. Kinda reminds me of Catherine in Desperate Housewives....not sure if you watch?

yea i watch sometimes but my friends r obssessed so i get my desprate house wives news from them, and yea she could be on the show shed bring all the drama to them. i could totally imagine a desprate house wives disney style show seriously
