Jean-Michel Cousteau opposes oil drilling off Florida

Jean-Michel Cousteau expresses concern over Floridas possible lifting of a 20-year ban on near-shore oil drilling and urges the Florida legislature to continue to protect beaches and reefs from potential long-term disaster. Acknowledging the attraction of added revenue through drilling, Jean-Michel weighs the risk of accidents and increasing storm intensity and urges protection. @iamearthbornami hydro power is better then fossil fuels, but dams destroy ecosystems as well. Look what has happened to the Salmon populations. Solar, wind, bio fuels, thats the direction we need to be going. But I would take hydro over fossil fuels any day.

Pensacola Fl will be hit with millions of gallons of crude oil in three days no more sugar white sand it will take years to get the smell out the sand will never be white again.
