This video contains spoilers for FFTA2, but to mark spoilers would imply that this game actually has a plot.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift is a very unbalanced game. But, it also has lackluster final bosses. Given the right items, stats, and abilities, it is possible to KO all of the bosses in one attack. Well technically, the true final boss needs two attacks.

~Major Damage Contributors~
Stat Bases
Stat Growths
A-Abilities: Focus (Attack 1.8x)
Passive Ability: Turbo MP (Magick 1.5x)
Clan Privilege: Power Up 5 (damage 1.25x)
Equips*: Crimson Tear, Snowy Tear, Moon Maiden
Items: Eureka Crystal (Attack +35), Grimoire Stone (Magick +35)

Illua's level depends on your clan's average level but will never be below level 50 or above level 59. If Illua is at level 57 or below, it is possible to one hit knock out (OHKO) her with a newly recruited level 30 Viera using Ultima. Recruit the Viera as a Green Mage for the best stat distribution, learn Ultima Masher, and set up equipment as shown in the image:

Use a fast unit to restore the Viera's MP before the Viera attacks. Note that this isn't really a valid way to defeat Illua. If you can get a couple Moon Maidens, you'll have no trouble with Illua.

The Neukhia is harder to OHKO. Even with the Wisp gone, the Core still has 1130HP. Because the damage of every hit caps at 999, divide the damage between two hits via Doublecast or Doubleshot. Set up as shown:

This video shows both Doublecast and Doubleshot usage, but only Doubleshot is used to OHKO the core. For Doublecast, the most consistent way is to use Maduin. But Maduin is too boring, so I combined Fire with Doom Blade. Spellblade abilities, like Doom Blade, are strangely boosted by Turbo MP even though they use the Attack stat. Note that these methods aren't the best way to defeat the Neukhia. You certainly don't need level 99 units.

  • I find anyone who mistakes Action Replay usage as the main point of this video to be extremely short-sighted for not be able to understand the point of this video even though I have already explained the point of this video in the video description.

  • I believe I have said this quite a few times, but the point of this video is not to show that "I" can beat a final boss. Beating this game's final boss is comparatively easy, obligatory, and child's play. Beating this game's final boss is not the point of the video.

The point of this video is to

    1. show -just- how easy this game is (a newly recruited Green Mage job changed into Assassin can one shot the 1st final boss without level ups. It's THAT easy.)

  • 2. show that, despite having over 1000HP and the 999 damage cap, the 2nd final boss can still be one shotted

As I have explained before, neither of these methods are efficient. They are for demostration purposes only. Action Replay codes used for this video are used simply for the ease of creating this video. They are irrelavent to the video content as everything shown in the video can be recreated without Action Replay.

  • clearly used cheats to get a level 30 viera assassin to be that powerful

  • The crazy part is that level 30 Viera CAN be that powerful.

  • and snowy tears

  • how to get moon maiden??

  • how to download replay action???

  • I wish they had a difficulty setting for FFTA and FFTA2. FFTA was way too easy and this looks like it's even easier. It should be like advance wars where you actually feel a challenge. Playing these games just feels like a grind. Especially if you know how to get them cheezles.

  • You must really hate this game if you went through all of this just to show how bad it is...

  • @TheDarkAbsol its the madu

  • you say the games easy but obviously it is if your'e people are level 99 (the second fight) and in the first fight against illua you used ultima masher which is basically one of the strongest attacks and is not "easy" to get.

  • @CAZPERsayz no, but you can get an emulator to play the first ffta if you have cfw

  • i dont know why but one of my vieras is called horseshit, bug...?

  • Strange. I have a level 99 Juggler named Talf too. Except for that fact that I barely use him since I lost the game a few minutes ago. D:
