I love this song. She does the most gorgeous version of it in 1964 in japan which I just discovered on her new 2011 Ella in Japan 2nd box set. I hope you get "Ella in Japan" if you haven't already.

In my opinion this is the best album by Ella. Of course its because of Basie and I think Quincy Jones(! ) who was a producer.All of them contributed this masterpiece of sound. I am looking for "Honeysuckle Rose" from this album.Its the best version of that song ever. Any response???

this is an under rated album. ella in good voice, totally at home with basie. this is how we should remember this great lady. thank you for posting this.
