MMA fighting meets Kung Fu Fighting.
*please note*

This video was shot on my vacation in china of may 2008.
The man i'm "grappling" with, is not a monk but a kung fu master with over 20 years of shaolin kung-fu, Wushu,Sanshou or Sanda what ever you want to call it.

*Please also note* we are not fighting in this video but just having a grappling match.

  • DON'T BE SHOWN OFF THE MAN WITH WHO YOU FOUGHT IT WAS NOT A TRUE SHAOLIN!

  • @SkafloonSkafloon Read the info on the video !

  • Most illiterate title on youtube, due to some ignaramous lack in knowledge. Really MMA meets Kung Fu? Do you know anything of what and how MMA is taught. Kung Fu is a small percentage of MMA, there are great kung fu black belts training in the UFC if that sounds better.

  • @MrSkylarr OMG Listen SKY, I'm talking about Mixed martial arts (MMA) The full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, muay Thai, kickboxing, karate, judo and other styles.

  • DO any of you retards have any clue what MMA even is??? It's called Mixed Martial Arts and it includes EVERY single martial arts style that exist on the planet, even Kung Fu. It pretty much means anything goes. Why would you even try to compare them? It's like saying a Volkswagen is better than a car when VWs ARE cars. Idiots.

  • No you guys are watching this with the wrong mentality. The guy in this vid is obviously an MMA practitioner who went to China to study some Kung Fu with the monks and to just check out how awesome their monasteries are. That's what he meant by "MMA meets Kung Fu". Jesus Christ does everything have to be this crazy fight of epic proportions? Martial Arts aren't only about violence you know? Alot of it is, but not all of it...

  • @nigbot1 Does that make you gay for watching? lol

  • FAIL for the mma douchebags.

  • @aoj2108

    It's obvious.

Of course you said, "theoretically". That is my point. Doesn't that mean impractical?

And so I just gave you a very good example where " Pulling Hair" was practical. That's all. Accurate information, that's all.

    Best regards, Mike

  • @Arythmnmaker1 How id you know I was a tough guy? Wow I can't hide from you at all. You must not be a Native English speaker you troll. I said "theoretically". Why do you feel so threatened by a simple discussion?

  • Why grapple in the dark?

  • !!! WHERE'S THE FIGHTING AT I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

  • @aoj2108,

Here it is if you have forgotten, at 3:22 see for yourself ....you Jerk off

    Kimo vs Royce

So, before you speak from you ass, know your facts.....

  • @aoj2108

"You can theoretically jump in the ring and scratch and pull hair like a little girl if that's your style but that won't get you very far at all."

    Ok..... Tough guy.

And , of course, since you brought it up into this discuss, when you speak of pulling hair like a little girl, of course that wouldn't include Royce Gracie when he fought Kimo and pulled his hair...... right? that strategy seemed to be very effective for Royce...... remember?

  • @Arythmnmaker1 Not quite. The term "mixed" martial arts is pretty self-explanatory. The reason you don't see every single fighting style in the ring is because MMA fighters choose to stick with the styles that have been proven to be most effective. You can theoretically jump in the ring and scratch and pull hair like a little girl if that's your style but that won't get you very far at all.
