While the new Epcot attraction, Disney Phineas & Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure, won't open until later this summer, three big talents behind the hit Disney Channel and Disney XD animated series got a sneak peek on Wednesday -- along with Agent P himself! Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh are co-creators of "Phineas and Ferb" and actor Vincent Martella gives voice to Phineas Flynn. The trio toured World Showcase as Walt Disney Imagineering revealed some of the new attraction's secrets -- and then swore them to secrecy. Read more at the Disney Parks Blog: http://bit.ly/JcKSDj

I grew up with KP, so I was STOKED to see her reappear in the parks. But I do realize that most of the kids that come into the parks NOW have absolutely no idea who KP or Ron is, or Sheego or Senor Senior Sr are. Now that Phineas and Ferb are way more popular, I'm glad to see them here. Being 22, I don't watch the Disney Channel anymore. But I'm always watching Phineas and Ferb. They're the classic cartoon that Mickey brought: the funny, quirky character having weird adventure

Can you imagine how Dan and "Swampy" must feel knowing that something they created is now part of "Disney magic"?

I know right? This is basically the only reason why I don't like Phineas and Ferb as much as I used to. Lol

ok, i miss the kim possible show and epcot adventure as much as the next Disney kid, but even I have to admit that it's time to pass the torch, and i'm glad that phineas and ferb are next in line for such a fun attraction for everyone - whether you're 4 or 104, you'll always find something for you at the "Happiest Place on Earth"!!

Like I said, the production periods for the two shows overlapped. Creating a show, especially an animated show, takes years! You need to get backers, actors, writers, researchers (like the martial arts experts brought on for research for Avatar), animation companies, music composers, etc. More people know Disney than the Avatar creative team, therefore the Disney product was able to get off the ground in a shorter amount of time. All it takes is 1 guy to talk about a new show he's working on.

Not every mentor-student dynamic is like the one in Avatar, I'll give you that. The Uncle Ben-Spiderman dynamic shares few if any similarities with the Iroh-Zuko and Gramps-Jake dynamics. But both Gramps and Iroh groom their pupils to be better men than their situations might otherwise permit, good leaders, and protectors of the balance in their respective universes as well as teaching them to master their inner powers. Uncle Ben said one wise thing, then became his nephew's superhero tragedy.
