@7olusegun Untrue there is a weight hanging there which is adjustable. More weight=more downward force exerted. This will put useless stress on the blades on the backstroke but this is not a problem apparently.
My husband owns one of these but we have no documentation about it? Does anyone have any information on the model or anything on it so we can locate specs or manuals or anything?
When I was at school. Bective Boys School Northampton UK. They had ones like this in the metal work classroom. Wonderfull. I wish I had noe now to put onto my stationary engine.

If they are not too worn out, those old power hack saws will cut more accurately than a lot of today's imported horizontal band saws.
