safe on all surfaces? ermm not true its alkaline based how is it safe on un-finished metals? its well known alkaline will react with un-finished metals, just do a google and you will see also a lot of bike forums are also realising the fact that muc-off is now damaging their bikes.

Hi twiggy 99. Our formula contains corrosion inhibitors. To test it yourself you can simply drop pieces of untreated alloy into a container of Muc-Off and you will see that no bubbles will come off the alloy as the corrosion inhibitors stop any corrosion occurring.

What we've seen here costs around $100 +. You can buy a decent used bicycle with this money. So, dear cyclists, be careful, and start looking for non expensive alternatives. You need cheap brushes, some dish wash detergent, sponges, and a decent chain lubricant. don't let Muc Off rob you. Let their small fortunes, on store shelves.

It left marks on my gold anodized stem. This was a few years ago, it' s a different formula now apparently. I found if you leave it on too long 10mins+ is when the problem occurs. Still use it but i'm more careful now, I'm not massively bothered as it's only a bike after all :)
